It is time to enact separate laws

A round table meeting was jointly organized by Gender Platform Bangladesh and The Daily Star on 29th December, 2021 at the Daily Star Conference Hall.Shirin Akhter, MP, Vice Chairman-Bills and Members, Parliamentary Standing Committee, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education presided over the function.Barrister Shamim Haider Patwari, MP, Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs was present as Chief Guest and Shamsunnahar Bhuiyan, MP, Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Labor and Employment was present as Special Guest.Speakers at the Round Table Meeting on the effective implementation to directions of the Hon’ble High Court;Call for legislation to prevent violence and harassment against women, and ratification of the ILO Convention-190.
